I'm a professional outdoor photographer with an assignment to photograph a surf fisherman dragging in a big Hatteras striper through the surf at dawn. I know it's possible but it won't be easy to put all those requirements together at the same time. Plus the fisherman has to be able to sign a model release and consent to being on a magazine cover or the like. When would you striper pros say is the best time to hang out on the Hatteras beaches to get that shot ?? Your advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Pays 10% of where ever it flies, forever. If it's a Saltwater Sportsman cover, that's $200. If it's a small catalog photo, it's $30. If it's a North Carolina Sportsman cover, it's only $20. (They don't pay very well). If it's a decent fish it will fly for a few years to come in a lot of different places from calendars to covers.

better get down soon--water temps are in the mid to upper 50's in Nags Head and most of the bass we had are now above the VA line. I know the water was as warm in Hatteras and fish were hard to find---but February is right around the corner and hopefully more cold water above will drive down more bass

this is from Christmas day--

Good luck!
It would be nice if you could post some of the pictures you reject for sale here.

Ihope I get the images I need. Recent reports now tell me there are no fish on the Hatteras shore and they've moved up to Virginia. I can't justify flying to Hatteras for a walk on the beach. Anybody know of fish being caught right now...
Thanks

there are no gauarnteed blitzes. I would suggest going there and running the beaches finding the fish and th efisherman. where are you flying into? in reality any airport you can easily go down to hatteras proper or towards hatteras and its not that much different distance wise.

The Va line is about 60-70 miles north of "hatteras" not a bad ride at all.

The point at hatteras has been spooty at best all winter. Most fish are being cought north of Buxton. Can never garuntee fish, but I have cought the last three times out. It is really gonna depend on the weather trhese next two weeks.
