Fed. Wildlife have informed us here in northern Cal. That they are going to declare 6 miles of our favorite perch fishing beach as critical habitat for the western snowy plover. Notwithstanding there has been no sighting of plover nesting since 1989. However they say it looks like it may have potential. Its one of the few beaches we can use atv.s to operate on. I noticed in your area your restrictions are only during the time of nesting. And possibly chick feeding. Does this mean you can operate at other times? The feds here indicate closure March thru Sept of each year. The potential nesting period of these birds. Appreciate any comment on this or email me at Rodmanal@aol.com Al Tennant Smith River Ca.
