Question

Been vacationng with the family in Hatteras Village for 12 years. Love fishing Hatteras and Oregon inlets at first light. I've heard rumblings for some time about the piping plover nesting areas being blocked off for fishing at times but we could always fish in august.

Read today in SWS that they may block off Hatteras and Oregon Inlet beches from any fishing through Aug 31st for the piping plovers. Is that true?

Would really put a screwin to my vacation

An amphibious landing, Scott I like the idea and I am going to pick-up two more new yaks today to add to my other two. Hell this could be an invasion!

I'll be down there for two weeks starting the 1st. Bringing four yaks with me and plan on doing some fishing. Scott

I do bring my kayak down with me. Have fished from it sound and surf side but have stayed away from the inlets. Maybe this year I'll head down there.
