Next Friday I will be on my way to Alantic Beach and at this point I am not sure what tackle to bring if any. I normally visit the area during the early summer and fish the Fort Macon area along the inlet.
Any ideas for the last week in February? I was thinking surf gear might be the best bet. Help! |

I think that it will be slow, but you just never know. The area you mentioned Ft. Macon has been a consistently decent place, especially off the jetty (does require some tricky manuevering though). there have been some reports of striper being caught off the beach at Indian Beach, but nothing from a source that I would totally trust. Bring your stuff, cause if you don't have it the fish will definitely bite.

Thanks KIp
I will give the jetty a shot. Interestingly I normally fish back in the inlet close to the Coast Guard. I have done pretty well in the area during the summer and fall. Thanks again |
