I realize this isn't a fishing question, but many guys who fish, also hunt.
Can anyone tell me how the bird hunting is in the Carolinas? I really enjoy hunting upland over my dogs in the fall, and calling spring toms in the spring. Is there much of that in your neck of the woods? tia

Plenty of turkeys. They're established in all 100 counties now.
Quail are tougher and tougher to find. I've got a couple coveys on my place, but I don't shoot them. Foxes, possums, coons, and feral cats, on the other hand...... |

Dove's are hunted down here also. Problem with any type of hunting is finding somewhere someone will let you hunt. You either have to join a hunt club, or know someonw who will let you hunt their place.

Last year I trapped 3 and shot a few more. They are the worst thing that can happen to upland/small game populations.
I call 'em ditch tigers. |
