will be in nags head next week...i know its a tourist question...but how is the surf fishing there this time of the year? not looking for specific spots just would appreciate any general info...

best bet would likely be small jigs and grubs for trout (speckled) and keep an eye open for the stripers and have some metal handy if they show.

not much going on this week--high seas adventure--bad rough. HAs been that way since the 15th of January---bummer

DD, Great post. If only there were some better reference points, the new sloughs and cuts are pretty well defined. I'm sure everyone will be looking for these in the very near future as I am guessing all of the old holes are no more.

the charter got postponed until the end of the month...the charter Capt. was up front on the conditions and the forecast and we cancelled early, hopefully it works out for the best nad we get some beter surf
