Hi everyone. I was looking for some information posted by another member that vacationed in North Carolina. The place he stayed at had wild horses roaming around on the beach. My friends and i wanted to book a vacation there, but i lost all the info i had. Can anyone help?
thanks, Roger ![]() |

There is also an area called Carova which includes Swan and North Swan Beaches and is located on the extreme Northern end of the OBX. This area also has wild horses, with a ample amounts of rental homes and is only accessible by 4x4. PM me if ya want any more info.

Dewy is correct it is Carova the area can only be accessed by 4 wheel drive there are no paved roads or stores. Do a google search on Carova N.C. rentals for cottage and area descriptions.

Likely you are looking for the Corolla/Carova area, but don't forget about Shackleford Island near Morehead City/Beaufort. You can paddle out to the island and watch all the horses you could ever want.
