ive got a 16ft roughneck and regularly fish out of masonboro inlet, what are my best chances of hooking up with a striper this far south?

In a 16ft boat, I'd say your best chances at geting a striper and surviving it would be around the state port docks in downtown Wilmington. Seriously. The ocean run stripers that make it as far south as Cape Lookout stay on the shoals, not a place for a 16 footer.
