Atlantic Beach fishing for Thanksgiving week

I am going down to Atlantic Beach for the week of Thanksgiving.What fishing is available and what type of tackle should i bring to fish the surf. Any tackle shops to get supplies at locally?

i would bring trout stuff. just got back from fishing at emerald isle this past weekend and had 4 nice trout (speckled to 3 1/2 pounds) a small drum and a couple of nice bluefish. there have been some big drum in the water as well. saw one swimming just off the beach that was 4 feet long. good tackle shops in the area, joe shutes just over the bridge from morehead, outer banks outfitters, just a liitle down on hwy 24 from the main traffic light in atlantic beach. personal favorite is the reel outdoors in emerald isle. haven't seen them yet, but the albacore usually show up around this time as well. have a great time. i would tell you to give me a ring, but this year we'll be in the mountains with the parental unit. good luck.

Thanks for the info. Looks like i'll set up some 8nbaits and bring the light tackle for the specks and albies.
