Question

Have a chance to go on a trip with as few buddies. Going for Tuna one day but will fish the surf or my yak the other days.

What's hot off the surf, inlets or sound at that time? Too early for stipers or could I get lucky and find a few?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The fishing reports I have been reading indicate they have been catching a little of everything all up and down the OBX, Blues, Stripers, puppy and adult Red Drum. I'm headed down the week before and looking forward to it. What marina are you chartering out of?
Happy fishing.

Thats red drum time...in fact its PRIME TIME. There may be a few stripers around, the first ones usually show around then. They are caught while drum fishing and arnt specifically targeted as thats a bit early.

I am planning on fishing most of that week in the surf.....possibly the week before depends on conditions etc.

We'll be there from 24 October to 30 October, there is a full moon and high ties at sunset most of the week, so it should be drum city. We are staying in Frisco and have a green Ford Exploder with NJ tags, see y'all there.

Cool

Will be fishing OI early and then the point in the evening on Tuesday 10-26. Will also do some Yak fishing behind OI as on Weds. Calling all OBX yakers PM me if you're free.

Thursday Tuna trip. My buddy booked it so not sure who the charter is with.

Friday is open to where I was most successful on Tues/Weds.
