Unhappy

Twice a year a group of us Yankees go to the Coer Banks to fish for 5 days. We alternate between Portsmith Island and Cape Lookout. We had plans to go from Nov 9 to 14, but guess what happened! We dont know if they can put Portsmith back together in time for our reservations.

If we have lost the chance to fish were we normaly do maybe we could transfer the trip to north of Buxton up to Pea Island.
Heres what I need Rental info on a 4 bedroom house, access to the beach for 2or 3 buggies and a local contact.

Your help will keep 10 guys very happy

Were looking for a house right now for thanksgiving, but I dont have the linkshere on this PC. If you need some ore info let me know I will dig it out when I get home over the weekend.

If you guys need some info let me know. Tha time should see the start of stripers and the tail rend of drum, but ya never know whats gonna happen water temps are the key.

.....chuck, you might want to try surforsound.com too. that is an interactive search site for rental properties in that area.

I think the Core Banks camps made it through OK, but there may have been some damage to the ferry landings. This might help out a little: Arial Photos After Isabel

2293 - Cape Lookout
2292 - Cape Lookout
2279 - Cape Lookout
2277 - Alger Willis Cabins (Core Banks)
2274 - S. Drum Inlet (Core Banks side)
2271 - N. Drum Inlet (Portsmouth Isl side)
2270 - N. Drum Inlet
2268 - Morris Marina Cabins (Portsmouth Isl)
2243 - Ocracoke (Hatteras Inlet)
2232 - New Inlets between Hatteras Village and Frisco
2212 - Jetties at Hatteras Light

You'd think someone would give us a picture of Cape Point, the primary destination on Hatteras Island, but so far nobody has anythign for us. NPS is restricting all access to the beaches in that area, so no pics other than from the air.

On a tangent, there was a huge speck/puppy bite and spot run under the (closed) Avalon Pier on the Northern beaches. The guys were out banging nails back into the pierhouse and one decided to throw a bucktail... the rest is photos (click on the 21st).

Stan White Realty has some reasonably priced cottages at the south end of S Nags Head. Convenient to Oregon Inlet & Pea Island.

Shoot me a private e-mail & I'll give you the name of a cottage we've rented for the past 10 years. Beds for 9. $450/wk plus the usualy tack on ****. But you have to swear on a blood oath you won't try to rent in the 1st of October.

Just to the north of this pic. West of Old Nags head Rd across the road from the beach. Clearly no ocean damage.
