Wow, amazed the fishing is show good after the hurricane. Blues in the 2 to 4 pound range are eating anything you through at them. Jigs, topwater, metal, plugs all seem to work yesterday. In the clear water break there were spanish skying out of the water on the bait, finger mullets/glass minnows. All the spanish are getting fat and juicy w/ all this eating going on. Normally we start seeing schools of False Albacore in late August, regardless schools of fish are showing off the beach. Eating big baits, these fish are easy to catch. The crease fly worked very well. The alberts have been 7 to 12 pounds, noticed some bigger fish chewing in the bait balls. Tomorrow might be different? If your looking for a load of fun now is the time to go fishing.
Other reports; kings bite close to the bar out to NW places. Offshore; dolphin and wahoos. Lets Go, Capt Dave Dietzler 202 Panama Terrace Morehead City, NC 28557 252-240-2850 |
