My wife and I are starting to consider a move to NC. NJ is getting on our nerves, and quite honestly, is pricing us out of the place.

To do so, I would have to find a new job down that way first. Any of you work in the Information Technology field, or have contacts in it down that way? I'm trying to get some networking going, and I know it's going to take awhile.

Doesn't have to be near the coast either. This is pretty open right now...

Thanks!

I hear what you are saying about being priced out. I live in New York and am feeling the same thing.I work in the Automotive trade and am moving to the Hampstead area of N.C. in mid October. I don't have a job lined up yet and that is scaring me somewhat. If anyone could help in that area I would certainly appreciate it also. Good luck to you Daryl.

Mookie...haven't seen anything yet, but if I do, I'll contact you.

Eastern...best of luck to you too! I think it's the right thing to do. I just got done reading the "Montauk going downhill" thread, and I'm starting to wonder if anything in the NY metro area is getting better. Politics, traffic, fishing access, shopping...nothing but crowds and competition anywhere. And it never seems like those in power have their finger on the pulse and a willingness to make positive changes. Meanwhile, I'm doing my homework...I'm not waiting around for someone else to make my life better...I'm doing it myself!

T-B... Sent ya an email over the weekend!
