Cool

Definately bgring your sunglasses. In August, its heat and skeeters.

If you can get a boat or take a private ferry ride to Core Banks, then there can be good small fish fishin (Pompano, sea mullet, etc) and possible good Spanish fishing. Also, with a small boat, you can explore some of the creeks and inland waters, and sound/bay areas. Use shrimp or minnows and catch trout, croakers, or flounder. Or, from Harker's Island, its a 30 minute car ride to Atlantic Beach/Morehead where you can check out the eye candy.
