Went out to Hat inlet today to break the ice on the cobes that no one has caught yet(water temp was 74)..Brought my "better half" and my son,for the "Mother's Day thing".. Caught rays, big bluefish, and yes,one small 36 forklength cobe.. He was tasty this evening though....
OBTW,a 53lber was caught at the south end of Ocock this morning...

Thanks Paul,my son Keith(Tater),loves pics, somewhat of a ham,he is ..Yeah,it was Mothers Day,the "olelady","the youngen",and I decided to go flounder fishing. Somewhere along the line,I came up with the idea of anchoring for a cobe.. If the rod had been a little smaller, and I had known what was on the other end of the line,my son would have been the angler.. He was having so much fun watching me pull in rays, big bluefish, and that one small cobe,I don't think it mattered whether he caught it or not..
