Looks like me,Turk,the Derf's & maybe a few others will be at Hatteras Dec 6-8. Hope to meet a few of the OBX crew. Any tips or intel? This will be Turk's 40th birthday and last fishing trip in the U.S. before leaving for Kunsan AB Korea for a year then to Scott AFB Illinois. Thanks in advance!

The Derfs know the area.
 It seems that anywhere near the north side of OI you have to beat the Stripers off your hook at night. If you are not careful, 4 or 5 will sneak up on the sand and into your vehicle, then the Ranger checks you and rutt ro! Be sure to lock all doors and coolers to keep this from happening and keep those nasty Stripers out of there. Seriously, there is some awesome water and structure from 2 mi S of 23 until 2 Mi S of 30. Many, many fish this Fall have come from between 27 and 30.  |
