Hey guys,
I'm trying to plan a winter break for the family and we're thinking of renting a house on the beach in mid-Feb. Can you tell me what the fishing might be like at that time of year and also what other activites there might be to do with a 7, 9 and 11 year old. Where on the obx? It is really quiet here that time of year. Alot of the restaraunts are closed as are the mini golfs and tourist type activities. I have caught stripers on the beach that time of year (prespawn + fat) but don't count on it. If you have a boat you have a much better chance. On the other hand, if we get some decent weather you will have the beach all to yourselves.
