I will be on Emerald Isle this weekend. The folks rented one of those fancy beach houses. We are going to meet them. I am looking for some info as to where/how I can get into some fish off the beach. In the past I have gotten lucky and hooked a few mackeral but this was a fluke (no pun intended). Any insight would be appreciated.
We are staying to the West??? (have to look at a map) of morehead city. Bogue sound is to the bay side of the house.

Wish I could help......haven't been that direction for 20 yrs. Flounder fishing is good in that area, that I do know.

Try searching on the net. I'm sure there are forums for that area as well. As always, check the local shops in the area....always a good bet..........whatever, get you're feet wet, and have fun. It's not always the "Catching", but the "Going" that's fun.

Tight Lines,
Wes
