Going to try for N. Beach critters in between massive vacationing go-carting swimming frisbeeing dining sunburning letting the kids drive in the sand with the family.

Will probably hit the point at night for sharks, and maybe Ocracoke once too.

A drum may not be out of the question, but I'm not counting on it.

Green Tahoe with kids, wife, puppy and overweight computer geek ex-hippy beer drinker.

Frank and Frans will get most of my business this year.

See ya.

Steve

SW or WSW winds the entire week.

Fished a few hours each night at the point, ran into large numbers of toothy critters each night. 50# sandbars, 50# blacktips, and 10# sharpnose were the ones I caught.

One night I had over 15 runs and got bit off by all of them. The critters that night were going absolutely nuts at the end of the line, jumping, thrashing (in addition to running out most of my line) and always ended up with the upper hand. I doubled up my 80# shock leader and still got bit off. Not sure what kind they were, they didn't act like the others that I caught.

Did some day fishing at S. Ocracoke, the Point, and ramp 34 and 38, but did not catch anything other than an occasional bluefish or sandshark.

Still I had a wonderful week with the family.

Bummer....I was down the past wo weeks (6/21-7/6) Had I known sooner, we coulda hooked up....perhaps you saw my truck (Grey Pathfinder) parked along Route 12, just north of Buxton, or in Frank and Fran's, since I was in there every morning?

Sooner or later I'll put up a post of my joys, trials, and tribulations of the trip, probably on the Rhody or Main Forum.....

BTW - Frank is an awesome guy (been going in there for years) - Last week, he went out of his way (and actually got steamed) to help me with a parking and access situation I ran into down there. All I can say, is he is top notch, and well worth your business....

And I was glad to see Fran in the shop, at least a couple times
