Wormy got a 70#'r...Spanish stayed off the beach about 1/4 mile.

Some drum where caught on da Point and elsewhere...but no large numbers. No more than 10-12 all weekend.

Boats did well on cobia and spanish...some cobia are north.

We'll get a picture up shortly...

Lets see...

Friday evening with my brandy new Outcast I hooked up with a Drum on the fourth cast. After a 30 sec fight, my line broke. I believe it was where I had kinked it from a professional overrun I had while practice casting at home. Two casts later, I caught an 8-9 lb "spring-skinny" blue. That was it for the evening. Possibly 5-10 drum were caught that evening from 30 - 50 inches.

Sat morning at da Point was squat. Saturday afternoon was a beautiful beach day at the south end of O-coke. The water looked great for either cobias or a late Drum. I fished 2-3 rods constantly from 2:00 PM til after dark to no avail.

Sunday was an unplanned offshore trip with SeaBear. Four gaffer dolphin from 15-30 lbs. No particular pattern or structure, just dragging baits wherever north of the Diamond Shoals tower in 90-600 ft water.

Mon morn, fished da Point til after 11:00 AM. Saw the usual gang and numerous Rays and Cobia in the surf but none were caught. Monday afternoon - homeward bound.
