The picture of the Cobia caught in surf is great. What a fish.My question is what do you do with a cobia? Are they good to eat?If so do you steak it or filet it.Or is it best to return to sea for another day.I personaly don't keep a lot of fish only a few to eat.It seems a fish this huge would take a few years to grow this large. And should be returned for another day.Besides I don't have a cooler that big. Thanks in advance.

So taste and texture wise, what are they similiar to?
And how come you never see them in resturants or in fish markets? |

50 lb Cobia I caught last year was nasty. Tasted like week old bluefish. Cut all dark meat out and iced down. It was out of the water for about an hour for weigh in and cleaning before icing so maybe that was the reason. They all go back now. Humdrum said he couldn't eat his either.
