Last year, right around the time the Big Drum bite was starting to happen at O-coke, all of the talk at Buxton was about the blowtoad bite and how people were catching all they wanted. The Big Drum were being caught at O-coke during this time and the bite generally lasted about 4 weeks there. By the fishing reports I have been seeing, the blowtoads have been around Buxton for about a week. Anyone have any comments on this?

JohnM, even though we both know the structure can change drastically in one tide, please bring back a complete and detailed report of the South End. Thank you in advance for spreading the Drum-fever.

Hi John & Mud, "keep silent", I don't want anyone else knowing about my secret spot!!! Seriously, They always seem to show up on Ocracoke's south bar before they visit the circus.(The-Point). Bob from Tradewinds landed a 58 pounder a couple weeks ago. They have to be nosing around that surf now. There always seems to be warm pockets of water moving around that area. There is probably only 4 or 5 people fishing that spot this week. I can't take the pressure..........
