spent the weekend at hatteras with JohnM, BMyers, and Wormy trying to scare up a few drummies or jack crevalle. lots of time on the beach but, not a single fish. there was a rumor to a BIG fish making a swirl on a plug that a pelican had taken a keen interest in eating, but i didn't see it.
spent some time up in Avon watching the world casting championship. some incredible casts as well as some very interesting techniques. learned a bit which i hope will add a few feet on my fishing casting distance. hoping to make it down for the Big hatteras surf tourney and a couple of times before thanksgiving. stripers come on down! |

Kip, nice to have met ya at the casting comp. My buddy did catch one red drum, a 49 1/4 incher, good enough for second biggest of the F&F tourney. And my other buddies wife, Ginger caught 2 to win Most fish and biggest in the Lady Angler catagory. Me, I didnt do as well. Hope you like the rod.
