I will be in Wrightsville bch, NC area the end of october and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for flyshops, guides or PLACES TO FISH in the area. I will be on foot and using a fly rod. Also, what rod, line, rigging should I anticipate using as well...(trying to travel light this time)

The jetty at the inlet is a good place to fish. It is a flat stone structure that extends out to a true jetty. On a calm day you can walk out - carefully - on the flat wall until it meets the true jetty. There should be some speckled trout, small bluefish, flounder and possibly a puppy drum. There is afly shop in the area but I do not know the name.
