Being the impulsive chap that I am...I'm thinkin' of driving down to NC next week or so and catch a charter (yeah, by my lonesome self) outta Oregon Inlet. New job starts in a coupla weeks, figure I squeeze it in while I can.

Targeting yellowfins, wahoo and shark. Any word on the offshore bite? Will tropical storm hovering over Gulf Coast mess things up?

Thanks...

OUI OUI....here is a site that post fishing reports in the area you're interested in....fishpiratescove.com. If you don't have any luck getting a charter out of Oregon Inlet...try Pirates Cove in Manteo. I have gone out of there several times on the Outer Limits and have always had fun and caught tons of fish. The website should have phone numbers for charters also.

I heard of some pretty good big eye tuna for the boats out of Oregon Inlet the last few weeks. Sounds like it is a little unusual. I think you can always depend on some dolphin, and possibly a shot at a marlin this time of year.
