I'm sort of taking stock of the whole coast..tryin' to determine what everyone else fishes for this time of year. I mean, the striper fishing in NJ is absolutely dismal and without them I am lost
![]() So what do you guy fish fer now? And better yet, when do you expect things to "heat up" again? Thanks...always wonderin' ![]() TimS |

Stripers at Cape Cod...lol
![]() this time of year is "squat" fishing...not alot going on. Spanish in the morning and evening...maybe some pompano during the day with sea mullet, etc. at night sharks and croakers. Usually in Sept., after the first "cool front" and winds start coming NE and the finger mullet begin to show up...puppy drum will move in, then the big boys start showing up in Oct. into Nov., when the stripers and specs. show up until cold water drives them back out. ![]() but for now its..OPF.... I've been doing a little puppy drum fishing behind Oregon Inlet from a boat. Besides that, a few spanish from the piers. As far as the fall, end of September on a good noreaster should see the big drum start to show up. My first striper of last season came on Nov. 15, my last Feb. 21
