The drum are still showing up too. Saw about 10 caught (1 for me) from 9-1 last night, all between 38-42". Best part was only about 12 anglers out there. That was the 4th day/night in a row the fish have showed.

John M...saw that picture of the fish... That was not just another "Brown Submarine", it was a “Nuclear Attack Sub!” Had me weak in the knees just thinking of fighting that kind of fish from the sand.

Not this weekend, but hopefully the following weekend.

Thumbs up

Hi there John. It was nice meeting you a few weeks ago.I just came back from the promised land and was with Phil from Kentucky who caught that 94.5 hwag cobia.Phil had his hands full but a little couching he did well and landed that hwag. This one will be hard to beat this year.I caught three yearling thurs morn about 3:30 am. The spanish bite is great at times with fish to 8 lbs.Well hope to see you on the beach next month for those elusive cobia.Till then, take care and may Gid love and bless you and yours. Tony

Morning John and thanks for your reply.Yesterday evening Big Ed caught a 65 1/2 Cobia at the point on some bait that Dan gave him. Bait has been scarce, especially bunker. If you want some drum/cobia candy[bunker] stop by TW'S on your qay down for they have some fresh frozen.Thats what Phil caught his hawg on.I just got through making some Cobia blessed rigs and when I see you i'll give you one.Till next time, take care and have a safe holiday. May God love and bless you and your family. Tony

Tonay looking forward to it. Since I didnt make the trip to the promsedland this weekend I got the truck all cleaned out and my gear cleaned up. I do Enjoy cobia season, the fihsing is great, but usually we all have are familes with us, and its those times that ultimately are most special. watching my 1 year old eat sand and play is priceless
