Fished the point saturday night after setting up the new camper. Got into a doggie blitz. Heard of a few pups but didnt see them in the dark. Sunday morning got a late start but no matter doggies were waiting for us we caught more of them. didnt see any pups while we were there......

The outcast, we both fished them. Thing that strikes you about the rod is the weight. Its very light. I am accusotmed to fishign a 2/1 and the outcast is much lighter. I found the tip sensitive, easay to detect the bite of them doggies........didnt really get anythign big enough to test it though. In terms of casting it was fin handled 8 and bait no problem. It handled the current fine, though we didnt have allot of current. Over all I was pretty happy with it, now to hook an hawg and see how it handles that
