I guess with the cold weather the mice have started to come inside. My girl's got some in her place, leaving poop around...we saw one dart across the kitchen the other day..the good for nothing dog does nothing.
She wants the traps that don't kill them (have a heart?)...do these things work at all or are they a waste of money/time? I am old school and usually use the metal bar neck breaker ones...I am in charge of this operation and it needs to be successful

There is no such thing as "Have A Heart" in the house.
Any vermin which are unwelcome and do not pay rent plus make a mess must be eliminated totally and without mercy. Get the Victor neck snappers, a bag of rasinettes and kill them all. |

On the do-it-yourself forum, under the "prisoner' thread, there are good suggestions and a few funny stories like mices with glue-trap snowshoes, etc.

Bido, as BJ stated - the DIY forum has a post made by me.
A a follow up - a fukker was stuck on teh trap this AM, by the tail - stuck in teh hose on teh floor. AS soon as I saw it, it wiggled and got off the glue trap, and darted away from me. I SCCREMED MAD LOUD, adn ran away. My wife laughed, until she felt my heart beating 1000mph. I am pretty sure when tehy get stuck on these things they run towards where they came from, so I think I have an idea how they are getting into my basement now. No more up in teh main living area. PS - I put out those poison blocks, right in the holes. Saw some of it being eaten, next thing I know it's gone. I get hapy, they draggged it into their lair. NExt day same thing. Wife sees a cat & chases it away, all the poison was chopped up - stupid cat ate teh bait instead of the mice. DAMMIT!! |

THey have easy to set neckbreakers, with more of a lever to set it off. They are the Victors with a flat piece of plastic which look like cheese. I always hate setting atrap and it goes off, scares teh CRAP out of me. THEse require less rocket science and balance to set.
If you'r a bit%h like me, tie a piece of string/fishing line to teh trap, so when you catch one you can pick the lien up and not have to go near teh trap with the yuckiest thingy on it. |

Yeah PB works but the lille ones can lick it clean. I got three mice on a single trap baited with one rasinette. Got to soften up the rasinette and make sure the rasin gets jammed in the trap real good. They lick the chocolate, tug on that rasin ever so lightly and SNAP!!! bye bye mouse. Mice can not resist sweets.
