If you are using 2-4 oz metal, a fast graphite blank in the 11' range would give you very good distance. Paired with a reel such as the Saltiga Surf, you could hit 150yds+ in favorable conditions and depending on the shape of the tin.
I use an AFAW Estuary with a ZX27 and hit 150yds with 3oz.
The estuary has a soft tip so you can really feel the action of the lure.
Not a good rod past 4oz.
There are factory rods out there, Shimano, Daiwa, etc. which will cast long also. 11' is my recommendation for max beach distance while being easy on the hands and back.
For about the cost of a Saltiga, you may want to see how much a larger spool and rotor is for the ZX22. The Saltiga will out cast the ZB but it will not out last it.

The basia in that spinner category will out throw anything but as was stated in the surf it is on borrowed time. zee bazz van staal
