I remember Hitting the woods with my dad and our beagle there. We got our limit of pheasants, a couple rabbits, then a few monster blues to round it out. One day Huff had a partridge fly into his rod rack. It tasted great along with the burgers.

I Was Fishing Near The West End And There Was Nothing Going On.. I'm Hearing The Same Throughout The Canal.. You Never Know, When And Where It Can Happen.. I'll Be Down There Again Tomorrow.. Never Give Up..

I plan on hitting the west end for daybreak tomorroew AM. It may be my last trip for this year or maybe it will have me waking up early Sunday AM too.....we shall see

...I took my 6th consecutive . 0 signs of life but is was a beautiful morning, very calm (and cold). The party is over for me this year. I can't wait until May

I might head down this afteroon & bounce a jig. Just need to get the leaves up before I go. Also might hit gooseberry area w/ eels tomorrow, just a nice time of year to be out. If you are successful, even better! But any time on the water is peaceful, and that is 1/2 the fun Last time I went to gooseberry saw a nice buck running around.

A buck on Goosberry???? Westport?? Hmmm never seen a deer there...

deer was actually before gooseberry, just after the rotary~

Lots of deer in that area,see them regularly.
My daughter in law severely injured her neck hitting a deer
down there and totaled her car.....CAREFULL.
Gooseberry,
10/22 am SWwind lots of small , one keeper
10/23 am N WIND nothing,no baitfish,no birds
11/1pm NW wind,water dirty,no sign of life.
All done striper fishing ,tautog for the next few
weeks.
