thanks Dave
That was the day that I brought my wide angle lens first time to the beach. I though it would be cool to stand in front of Kurt and have him cast over me.
He loved the shot, I think he used it as his screen on a PC...I cant believe he is gone. He was a hell of good guy

Iam deeply sorry for the loss of your brother surfcaster. Kurt was always the gentleman, good family man, kind in heart and kind in spirit. May he rest in peace. We will miss him! Below is a photo with him and his daughter at one of our beach clean ups.

It speaks volumes of a man by how many people he touched with his kindness, his enthusiasm and his love and shared passion for a sport we all love. By the posts I have read here I must say that Kurt (though I have never had the pleasure of meeting him) led a life well lived. My heart goes out to his wife, his children, his family and his friends. May they keep the memories close in their hearts.

There was an ENORMOUS turnout at the wake tonight. It is obvious that this man was much loved by people from all facets of life, not just those he fished with. Not too many dry eyes in the house, including mine. Kurt, you were an incredible person and you will be sorely missed. Tomorrow we have a club meeting but I don't know what the hell it's going to be like without you there anymore...

RIP Kurt

I was there last night as well with another club member. the place was jam packed with people. the line was about 50-60 people deep to get inside. I met Kurt 's wife last night, and what an amazing woman. with everything she is going through, she took the time to personally introduce herself to everyone who walked through and was able to hold a small conversation with everyone. it amazes me how people, who are literally going through hell dealing with the loss of a loved one, are able to shine in moments like these.

Kurt definately made an impact during his way too short life with us. it was evident last night.

Does anyone know an address or how to get an envelop for the trust fund. MY club would like to make a donation to the trust fund for the kids. I didnt see any envelops at the wake.
