Default redfin - chicken scratch

Found an old redfin in my basement that I bought years ago.I was changing the hooks and I noticed it had the same markings on the head as a chicken scratch bomber!

I'm pretty sure they still make Redfins in those colors.

Chicken scratch fins were around long before the bombers were.

Tech,
Bomber and Redfin(Cotton Cordell) are both owned by Pradco - same company. The fin you have is not real old(relatively) because it has a smooth finish. Older redfins have crinkled sides. With all the $20 plugs around nowadays it's the lowly redfin at $5.00 that takes about half my bass each season. It is the best plug for the money.

Have they changed the Chicken Scratch pattern on the Redfins recently? The ones I have look exactly like the one Zim showed, but I saw some the other day that looked just like the Bomber pattern. I could just be delusional from studying and taking finals all week....

Zim, where did you get that color. All the new fins I have seen come in very limited colors. I think there are 6 one of em ain't chicken scratch.

Pradco makes relatively small lot runs of regionally favored colors, but you're not gonna see them listed as stock colors / patterns on their web or catalog pages. Blurple Redfins showed up recently in several of DelMarVa's better shops...

and I've seen the new style Chicken Scratch Redfins in several good shops on the Jersey shore. Despite the wonders of the web, you just can't do it all online. Sometimes you simply have to get out there and look around a little.

Kinda refreshing to me, actually, that some things are still that way
