  1. Thanks, it’s been a tough season for me, but the fall seems to be shaping up.
  2. Last night was a lot of red weed. It was pretty difficult to bring in anything with trebles without fouling. Fish were in close though.
  3. I lucked out with a good top water bite before the storm rolled in. 36” & 32” and about a dozen schoolies.
  4. Correct. All of them are from an overflow at a Hooksett wastewater plant in 2011. They closed the beaches when it initially happened since they carry e. coli and other fun stuff.
  5. I still regularly come across the disks from the Hooksett Wastewater overflow in 2011. Good times...
  6. Fish every cast this morning and not another soul in site. Mostly micros, but a couple of low 20" fish in the mix. All hitting top water.
  7. Came across a ton of peanuts in about 2 feet of water on my way home from work. No birds or fish visibly working them. So strange to see that much bait in the water just hanging there. I managed somewhere north of 20 micros. Mostly on a smack it. Will be putting in the hours this weekend to try to find something that actually pulls drag.
  8. They are starting to clear out of some of my regular spots. Got my first skunk of the fall last night. I guess I'm going to have to look a little harder.
  9. Got into a blitz yesterday morning before the storm rolled in. Tons of fish popping and birds working across the entire length of the river mouth, but they only stayed in casting distance from shore for 4 casts. 4 hook-ups but I only got three of them to shore. 27", 28", 30". They moved off and then it was back to endless dinks for the rest of the morning. Went back today hoping they would make another showing, but the fog made things tough and I only managed a dozen tiny guys.
  10. Lots of birds working about 400 yards out this morning. Based on the size of the splashes these looked to be better sized than most of what's been hanging around. I managed a dozen micros and 2 decent schoolies. One was 26" the other was 30". All on pencils.
  11. I fish a 5500 and it is a tank. I mostly fish boulder fields and regularly dunk it. Haven't done anything but rinse it after each outing. I'm thinking about getting the 3500 for my light setup.
  12. Looks like a male gray seal. I saw one yesterday at the mouth of the merrimack that had similar pale splotches.
  13. Schoolies every cast for about an hour this morning all on top water. 90% of them were sub 20" fish but did manage a few just under keeper size.
  14. I can't speak to locations in your area, but it's the same game everywhere. If I'm not finding success I change up where I'm going, and my approach. If you don't get any follows or blowups in the first 30 minutes just drive to the next location. From mid august on, if I'm fishing during the day I'm throwing pencils and spooks into boulder fields that have current and hopefully some white water. If I'm fishing at night I'm throwing bombers or metal lips and reeling as slowly as I possibly can while still feeling the lure "working". If all of that fails I begrudgingly buy eels. Change it up and you'll find fish. Also, don't mention locations in your reports.
