I too have the same problem as does my brother. My Avid and his Legend have loose caps and both were purchased brand new two years ago. also, the "plug" in the end of my bottom half of an Avid 9'6" was "sliding from top to bottom on every cast until I epoxied it into place. Big money for the rods and expected a lot more in their quality. ODM and Lami filling the void nicely now. No more Croix unless and until they up the quality.

No one has mentioned BKK snaps. impressed so far.

His use of Harmonics just one of the things this genius pioneered. My all time fav bass player-nobody even comes close...even Victor Wooten.

not exactly sure, but it could have been a 1" 5/32 oz. cylindrical weight with a larger than normal center hole.

predator pdl rear scupper hole leaks
massmike replied to massmike's topic in Kayaking and Kayak Fishing Forum
Old Towne says user error....thats me I guess. now I find out that a scupper cart should "NEVER" be used because this is this result. Live and learn. Silicone will be reinforced inside and out by me. -
Punctured a rear scupper hole in my Predator PDL while using a Malone scupper cart this summer-put some silicone inside the scupper hole and seems to have worked at least temporarily. Any ideas or pros and cons on sealing both rear scupper holes off permanently/ are they really needed? Old Towne has not answered my messages so hopefully someone here can help. I have a new strap around cart - is the plastic material that thin inside those holes? still cant believe I almost sank it from just a small 3/8" puncture. my hand pump saved the day thankfully. Thank you for any responses.

Liked Hobie's reputation in salt water, but the instant reverse of the Predator was the deciding factor for me. the warranty on Old Town products unbeatable.

Home Depot brand Freud is very good-available in popular sizes.

if you own a small vega dupe, it's value has probably doubled.
-
spoke with Randall at Vega.....no more mini or midi dupes....pro version only....they start at 1200.00. also no spare parts for the existing smaller dupes. other dupes (rockler comes to mind) dont hold up well in my opinion. makes it difficult for new plug builders for sure.

Quonochontaug Breachway (Boat Ramp)
massmike replied to Capt.Castafly's topic in Rhode Island Fishing
even worse congestion on an already congested area. State of RI will probably put up a gate similar to East Beach and limit number of vehicles allowed in. Should have left it alone inmho. -

Salty (Scott) has been a straight shooter with me for years. Tells it like it is weather you want to hear it or not. Too bad he quit the internet talk boards--has a wealth of info and answers all plug building/plug business questions like nobody else. my humble opinion.
