6/16/01	Articles	Thanks to Arby for putting together both the pictures and the text for the article titled "Alberto's Knot". It's a very strong, compact knot designed by our resident 24 X 7 fish chaser Crazy Alberto :-)
6/12/01	Lil' Mr. Bunker	Just added the 3" 1/2oz Mr. Bunker to complement the existing and very popular 4" and 1 1/4oz Mr. Bunker. Sometimes the bigger one is just too much, this lil' one should fix that problem :-)
6/3/01	Squid Poppers!	Reloaded the wall with both 1oz and 2oz Hab's Squid Poppers! People are catching fish on these things all over the place...and I don't even have one in my bag...I guess I should put on in there soon ;-) The 1oz Squid Popper is brand new to SOL!
6/3/01	Hab's Needlefish	A fairly substantial delivery of the long awaited Hab's Needlefish arrived...although the 3 1/2oz Monster is still MIA, there are now lots of 2oz and 1 1/2oz Hab's Needlefish hangin' on the wall :-) Including the new Pink/White...and the coveted Eel (Olive/white) needles!

6/1/01	Hooligans!	We now carry the complete line of Lion Head Hooligans - the most spectacular "tin" lures ever made....these things swim like a plug, shine from the jewelry grade tin, and can be fished anywhere from the surface to the bottom! Can't ask for more than that ;-)
5/16/01	Size #2 4X EC Trebles	Finally received some of these very rare but most excellent hooks. These are the size #2 4X black trebles by Eagle Claw.
5/15/01	Articles	Added 2 new articles. The first by master rod builder Al Goldberg, "Crazy Eyes for Fluke". The second by George Osbaldiston, a.k.a. "Sweetwater" entitled "Sweetwater Stripers". Check 'em out, both are excellent!
5/14/01	7/0 and 8/0 VMC Siwash Hooks	Just added the two monstrous Siwash hooks for you guys that asked for some monstrous Siwash hooks. The same VMC permasteel Siwash hooks that we've had, just bigger :-)
5/12/01	5 3/4" 1 3/4" oz MegaBait Plugs	Brand new 5 3/4", 1 3/4oz wired through MegaBait plugs! These are for real, super tough, heavy stainless wired through with 3/0 VMC 9626PS 4x strong trebles. The first plastic plugs built like a custom wooden swimmer!

4/27/01	Monthly Tide Chart	Updated the Monthly Tide Tables for May. Left the remainder of April up there as well, just in case ;-)
4/26/01	TiCA Caiman	Added the TiCA Caiman conventional reels to the catalog. These lil beauties have 12 ball bearings - two in each of the paddle handles! They are perfect for applications where a smaller reel is necessary...but they still hold 205yds of 12# mono. I put the better part of a 300yd spool of 30# Power Pro on one...just for testing purposes ;-)
4/26/01	Daiwa Sealine-X	The newest reel to be coveted by the distance junkies down on Hatteras, I had to get a few to check out. They are quite amazing! They use a new technology that Daiwa calls "speed shaft" - the spool is completely separated from the gears in the reel when you cast...and that spool is FAST! They hold loads of line for their size, the SLX30SHV..the bigger of the two we models we have in stock....weighs only 22oz. The SLX20SHV weighs only 18! Both are only $129.99 here!

4/20/01	Spring Fling 2001!	The new Spring Fling 2001 pages are up! All the details, directions, questions, and the registration page...they are all there, come and register, come and Fling with the crew!! Put it this way, the weather can't be anywhere near as bad as 54 guys fished in at least years Fling...and we still managed some 30 fish or so! It's a great opportunity to meet the guys, put faces with the names, and learn "stuff" about one of my favorite areas to throw stuff into the ocean! :-) All are welcome, this is not only for folks registered on SurfTalk...and we're meeting at noon on Saturday May 19th fishing through the night!

4/17/01	Rockfish T-Shirts!	Yes, I finally put them up! :-) Come and get 'em....they are sweet...and the tees themselves are tough...I've already washed my favorite about a dozen times with no sign of wear and no shrinkage! They are available in large, x-large, and 2x-large...Rockfish #3, #5, #11, #23, #26, and #28.
4/16/01	Hab's Needlefish	Added the Pink/Pearl and Black-n-Purple to the Hab's 1 1/2oz needlefish. I'm trying to confirm when the 2oz and 3 1/2oz needlefish will be delivered and will keep you posted! **NOTE - All 1 1/2oz Needlefish are now in stock....yes, even the eel color :-)
4/16/01	Spring Fling 2001	The Spring Fling 2001 pages are now up and registration has begun! The event will be held on Saturday May 19th beginning at 12 noon and ending when the last angler passes out on Sunday morning :-) It was a blast last year even though the weather was dismal...this year we are looking forward to an even better fling...and better weather God willing ;-)

3/24/01	VMC 4X 9626PS	Added the #4 size to the 9626PS 4X treble, needle sharp right outta the box, super strong! The #4 size is perfect for the smallest of your plugs. The perfect replacement for the weak hooks that come on small plugs, these are VERY strong, needle sharp, and resist rusting very well! These trebles will make any plug as cow proof as possible!
3/23/01	Lamiglas Rods! Hab's Needlefish in black-n-purple (outta stock sadly!) Coming soon, Habs in 3/4 pink with pearl belly! Exploder solid plastic indestructible floating poppers in 1/2 and 2oz sizes! Gibbs casting swimmers and wooden darters in custom colors - dark green over white, parrot, and black scale!!!! These you just gotta see to believe! Added KinkyFibre to the fly/jig materials page...what an awesome material this is, transluscent, extremely supple, and 8" long!

4/1/01	SOL Minnows!	The SOL Minnows were just returned back to the still very low price of $5.39 each. These are the same bodies as the Mambo Minnows, except they are assembled here with X-strong stainless steel split rings and 4X strong VMC 9626PS trebles...striper-proof when you get 'em! ;-)
2/9/01	Super Shad Rap	Added the Mullet, Pinfish, Croaker, and Blue Mullet Super Shad Raps to the Golden Shiner, Shad, and Smokey Joe already in the catalog! These are the saltwater stainless steel series and just like the others we stock, all have 2/0 VMC 9626PS 4X treble hooks installed and are wired through with some very serious wire!
