MikeP's Cape Cod Striped Bass Photos

MikeP, here he is, in all his glory. Mike has more experience in the pursuit of striped bass than any 20 guys in standing in the surf today. He has been around, done it all, and is now busy being a father, a provider, and a husband before striped bass fishing. Do not get me wrong, Mike still gets out there...just not to the degree as he once did. Mike is a good friend that I made on the WMI board, one I will likely remain friends with for the rest of my life. He's a gentleman, a scholar, and the kind of guy that makes the fish tremble when they hear he's on the way. With no further adieu, MikeP!

MikeP fourty pound striped bass caught on Martha's Vineyard

I've known Mike for a little over a year, the only picture that looks like the current Mike is the upper left, that's why it's first. The 30 pound striped bass he's holding was wrestled from the Ditch on his birthday a few years ago. A 30 pound striper from the Ditch, even before I practically forced Mike to switch to braids...pretty impressive! Upper right is a fish Mike describes as "near 40" pound striper! It's a fine specimen, taken according to Mike at the Vineyard on one of those nights where many striped bass between 25-40 pounds were taken....where was I?!?! To the left is Mike with a 29 pound striper he caught on one of his buddy Brad's Hawg Hunter poppers...either a tribute to Mike or to Brad's plug making skills...I'll gamble it was a mix of the two! So there you have it, MikeP at his finest! Nice stripers Mike, now when you coming down again?
