![]() This 21" nearly 2# squid was taken from a jetty in Deal last week. John and I hooked up almost simultaneously, mine was a meager 10# bass, while John's turned out to be a real trophy! I've seen thousands of 10# bass, this was the first squid I've ever seen bigger than 10" alive! Some people think it was snagged, what do they think squid this big eat? I'll tell you, 6" bombers! :) Go John, it's now frozen, soon to be calamari...uuummmmm!

Don't be alarmed, these are stripers, but not the kind I love to catch, just the one's John's given me! While we were all fighting the dreaded cabin fever, JohnM took da' wife and made his way south to chase someone else's stripers...Striped Marlin...not bass...but in the dead of winter, you take any stripers you can! Go John! Next time, let's see some flies sticking out of their mouths!
