Holy smokes!
DZ sent us the two biggest bass currently gracing these picture pages! On the left, Z. Silva with a 55# monster striper...and right next to him, DennisZ or "DZ" as he's known around these parts, with a monster 56# striper!!  These two giants were taken on Block Island in 1987....man, I hadn't even caught my first striper in 1987! Two guys casually holding a 100#'s of stripers...either of which would easily become the fish of a lifetime for us mere mortals! DZ, Z. Silva...you guys have just added a couple thousand more folks to the "wish I was there" list that no doubt travels with this picture! Thanks for the pictures, they are gorgeous fish! 

(Note to self: Check out this Block Island I keep hearing about ;))

Released!
DZ here with a striper in the "mid 30's" he tells me...same place as the picture of the monsters to the left, Block Island! This bass was released alive...I guess once you stick your hands under the gill plate of 56#er, all these "lil ones" get this preferential treatment of release! I wouldn't know...I'm still in the "non 50" group...but I'm ever vigilant to break out! Thanks again DZ, excellent shots and great fish!
