So the day finally came my order from bass pro shops. I was very disappointed when i opened the box

[img=

Some of the lyres weren't even in their packages! This paddle tail minnow, the hook was out and clearly seen. The package for it was not even opened!

1000

Luckily, i got a hold of a bass pro agent about the senkos and they said they would look into it more.

Has anyone else had a similar bass pro experience?

I'm surprised, too. I usually say only buy things like hooks and fishing line from reputable stores, meaning places like bass pro. That's messed up. The senkos doesn't surprise me -- I have noticed A LOT of mixed up color selections, even from BP, Cabelas and Dicks. But the rusted damaged packages in unbelievable. I specifically shop at these places to avoid that and to avoid fake fishing line and fakes pros and gamis (and fake sweaters and jackets). They even have messed up color options with clothing, too.

Classic

.........as we continue on.......

That's one store I can not stand. At least the one buy us. It's like walmart to me. The inlet way I will go there is if I am in dire need of something and need it fast. Other than that I stay away. I definitely would order anything from there. Not trying to put you down in anyway or your order. I would definitely call ask to be reimbursed 100% and shop else where. Jmo.

Give BPS a call. They have very good customer supports. Rusted hook is a manufacture issue ( old stock, contamination, etc ), big company like bps just label them and pick items up by label id when order comes in, there packing don't inspect the item generally, cost too much manual labor that way, basically your order is filled by a human robot.  It's cheaper for them to send you a replacement or refund.  If you want something fast, don't rdely on BPS or cabelas. Plenty of smaller guys with much faster service and free shipping to boot, not to mention tax free.

I don't even go in the one near us and I pass it 2 or 3 times a week.

I think that their service and products have gone down hill in the past years. I think they have lost alot of business to online websites who offer an easier buying experience. I dont go there for anything saltwater fishing related, and usually stick to freshwater stuff and clothing, which I do think is their strong point. I tried to buy a St Croix Mojo freshwater rod there one time a couple of years ago, and every rod in the rack had some sort of blemish, scratch or defect on it, so I just bought jeans and other clothes. It wasn't until I saw an employee carrying about two dozen rods in a choke hold over to a rack to be displayed and watched as 6-7 fell to the floor when he loosened his grip. Just not the store it used to be. Getting a BP gift card, to me, is like getting that ugly sweater for Christmas!
